New Year, New Outlook
I haven't updated things in a while, and I guess that's because there hasn't been a lot to say. A few interesting things have happened in my life, yet I know that I am the only person who sees these, so they are really only for my benefit. the holidays were uneventful. We saw some family, ate and cooked a lot of good food, and were glad when it was over. Getting through the holiday season can be a challenge when you are waiting to adopt or are experiencing fertility issues. Everyone talks about family. And yours doesn't necessarily fit into the worldview of what family is. I saw my brother recently for the first time in several years. I would like to say we are close, yet at this point we live separate lives. Just the same it was good to reconnect. We adopted a dog a month ago. He is a small terrier type, and seems to be very smart, however he is proving to be a challenge with the other animals. There hasn't been any baby news, aside from a few screenings. I...
